Report on activities 2024

2024 was a further successful year for TDKET. Thanks to new sponsors, the number of children taking part in the programme of TDKET has increased to over 60. Over 20 of them can attend a private high in Addis Ababa. Some of them graduated 2024 successfully and can now continue their studies at a university in Addis Ababa.

Players and teams from TDKET were successful at various tournaments:
Tariku Tesfaye, the  chief of TDKET, organized the Addis Junior Open. The team of TDKET won 8 Cups. The Addis Ababa Tennisclub hosted the Addis Ababa Open. 9 cups were won by Players from TDKET.

Some kids from TDKET were invited to participate in international events:
2 kids 16 and younger played the East African Championships in Burundi. 2 played the All African Games in Ghana.
2 girls participated in the Bejing Cup in Rwanda. 2 played a tournament in Angola.

2 Coaches of TDKET attended an ITF‘ International Tennis Coaching Seminar.

Tariku organised various tennis days for wheelchair users as well as events for other disabled children.
