Summary of activities in 2020 Covid 19 affected all activities in Mexico during 2020. The Mexican government explicitly prohibited all activities, except what they called “essential activities” like supermarkets, pharmacies, hospitals and transport. Specifically all clubs – public and private were closed. All public sport or recreational facilities were closed during 2020. Our programme uses courts in a public facility and the children are from public schools which remain closed. The situation in Mexico has not changed. As in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, etc., the situation has become worse in the last weeks. Hopefully the effects of the vaccine will change that, but it will take months for the distribution and application before we can see a positive change in the present situation. As soon as that happens, we want to restart the programme ASAP.
