Summary Of The “Tenis Para Todos” Programme In León Mexico In 2023

We started in February, and thru June we worked with 56 kids, 31 girls and 25 boys. It is important to mention, that during the months of April, May and June, several kids missed some sessions due to the intense and suffocating heat. This factor obliged us to take breaks more often, to make sure the kids were well hydrated and that they spend some time in the benches under the canopies. During the months of September thru November we worked with 62 kids, 35 girls and 27 boys. With respect to the training sessions, we found out that the kids have a lot of fun playing points among themselves. For this reason, we cut down a bit the time of technical instruction, creating several scenes in which the kids compete with one another. As I mention, this situation was very attractive to the students, and some of them want to participate in local junior tournaments for beginners this year.
