Summary of activities 2024 Tennis Rwanda Children’s Foundation Summary Report on TRCF’s Program in Rwanda during 2024 The following report contains highlights of TRCF’s philanthropic/humanitarian tennis program in Rwanda during 2024. Grew participation from 1,100 children in 2023 to 2,300 children in 2024 Added 6 trained coaches for a total of 15 coaches TRCF’s Co-founder and Head Coach, Joseline Umulisa awarded ‘Rwanda’s Sportswoman of the Year for Tennis in 2023’ by Rwanda’s Minister of Sports and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Rwanda. Joseline Umulisa made Honorary Member of USI.C. during her March, 2024 visit to BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, California Joseline Umulisa appointed Brand Ambassador for Dunlop Sports in Rwanda by the VP of Dunlop Sports USA. Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas donated quantities of Wilson junior racquets to the TRCF program. Qatar Airlines Cargo donated free airfreight for 3,500lbs of tennis equipment shipped from Los Angeles, USA to Kigali, Rwanda. It will continue to provide such support to TRCF in 2025 as part of its ‘WeQare’ Humanitarian Program. Brussels Airlines provided TRCF two complimentary roundtrip (economy) air tickets between JFK and Kigali. Its support will continue in 2025. Tennis Warehouse (USA) became a contributing equipment sponsor to TRCF and will continue its support in 2025. It provided several outfits of Wilson brand tennis clothing to Joseline Umulisa. JW Marriott Hotels Rwanda provided TRCF’s visiting coaches and volunteers 50 complimentary room nights for 2024. It has extended that same offer for 2025.
