Last Wednesday October 24, the kickoff of the Potter Cup and the Two Presidents Cup was the special afternoon dedicated to inclusive tennis.

The special group of players were once again able to share a court with Pablo Carreño, Sebastian Baez, Jaume Munar and Martin Landaluce at the Isdin Clinic organized during the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell.

The players took part in a clinic, in Barcelona, to celebrate the 50th edition of the Potter Cup.

This report provides an insight into IC Spain’s programme “Young people with learning disabilities”.

The Special Olympics program reserved some time in its schedule for a group of volunteers from the IC Spain to enjoy time on court and to share not only their tennis expertise but also some big smiles with the athletes.

This year we have continued with the program directed by Sergi Bruguera and more than 70 athletes with intellectual disabilities have received tennis training and a life skills program.

Over the past year, our program has been affected by the COVID pandemic, which caused a slight reduction in activities.

At the Potter Cup in Barcelona, a tennis clinic was held for players with intellectual disabilities - who played along side the Potter Cup participants.

The program for Special players offered by the Acell Federation and supported partly by the IC Council Philanthropy program has been strongly affected by the Covid 19 pandemic during the year 2020, being most of the on court practice reduced drastically.
