Summary of activities in 2024

  • January 6 : start of our weekly(every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) indoor training sessions for 50-60 kids.
  • January 27 : first of the regular coachesmeeting to manage organizational isues and further professionalize the training sessions.
  • February 15 : thanks to a private donation, 5 kids could visit the ABNAMRO Open ATP Tournament in Rotterdam.
  • March 23 : Family tournament with sports like tennis, soccer, basketball and hockey.
    The event was completed with price shooting
  • April 13: start of a tennis course for parents.
  • April 14 : the Richard Krajicek Foundation organised a tennis event for kids in the age of 8-16 years; they could participate in all kinds of racket sports. 5 Kids from our Street Tennis project were present.
  • April-June: 25 children participated in junior team competitions.
    To prepare them for  the competition , there was a special training session organised.
    Out of the participating teams, 1 became champion.
  • June 8 & 22: in order to let the kids experience playing on claycourts,we played at the courts of our partner TPC Gaasperpark
  • July-August : the best players participated in local junior tournaments coached by one of the trainers.
  • July 22-26: participation of 4 talented kids in a tenniscamp lead by a professional tennisschool at the courts of our partner TPC Gaasperpark.
  • August 17: tennis outing fort the trainers
  • September-October : 8 children participated in the autumn version of the junior team competitions.
  • October 4 : Krajicek Academy organized a workshop for coaches.
  • October 19 : celebrating the 25th anniversary of our Streettennis Project.
  • December 14 : family sports event

  • Tine Slager, founder of the Street Tennis Project in Amsterdam, was honored with a well-deserved Achievement Award during the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the project.
